About Us

We are a small family business based in Hampshire. We run a yarn shop selling a wide range of yarns, knitting and crochet patterns, haberdashery, patchwork fabrics and much more. We only stock products from companies we have close working relationships with. We like to work with companies we trust for quality and reliability in order to provide the best possible service to our customers.

We took on our first shop in 2001. It was an existing yarn store which is very traditional in style. Based in Portsmouth this small shop offers a huge variety and friendly service. This branch closed in December 2025 due to the landlord selling the building. We are now solely based in our other store.

Our second shop was taken on in 2006 and is also a traditional style yarn shop but much bigger than Portsmouth. Based in Cowplain this shop has the space to provide patchwork fabrics by the metre with all the haberdashery and notions to support this. It also has enough space to offer a range of classes.

The online shop the next adventure in our business. We have provided a small range of our products and will add more over time. We have tried to give the best possible pictures but yarn colours may well be slightly different when supplied.

Thistle Monday to Saturday 9am to 4.30pm except Thursday when we close at 3pm for Lessons. Closed all day Wednesday
